When I acquired the stand, I discovered that (2) of the sockets of the legs have a small crack, possibly from previous use, and are relatively loose compared to all other joints. This is also very dependent on the type of surface it is used upon - a shinier surface will enhance the sliding-outwards effect more than a grippy surface.
